This symbol abstracts the silhouette of an elephant into a bold simplified block with a dramatic condensed E for a head. Each participant is asked to contribute a piece of work interpreting a date provided to them at random. In response to the brief for Fedrigoni 365/2021, this mark responds to the number ‘23’ and the seed word ‘double’. It engages with citizens and civil-society organisations to explore and mitigate the evolving impact of technology on society. This logo explores the relationship between technology and humans by blurring the distinction between digital and analogue. It provides medical advice as well as guidance on detoxification and support with sobriety. This logo visualises Willpower as a tower of strength, providing support and stability to those struggling with addiction. To reflect the firm’s modern architectural design, this logo takes inspiration from the distilled form language of twentieth-century modernist marks. Our rebrand coincided with Busaba’s 20th anniversary and was part of a drive to reenergise the brand while celebrating its 20-year legacy. The brief was to create an identity rich in meaning, reflecting Busaba’s founding Buddhist philosophy. The new logo represents a flower, alluding to the fact that ‘Busaba’ can mean ‘flower’ in Thai. It also references the shape of the gerbera flowers that greet guests in every restaurant. These symbolise impermanence and serve as reminder to live in the present moment. The petals of the flower logo are heart-shaped, drawing on two of the important philosophies that inform Busaba’s culture: ‘sookjai’ and ‘namjai’. ‘Sookjai’, meaning ‘happy heart’, has similarities to the Western idea of mindfulness. The brief was to create an identity that would reflect the versatility of the venue and help to create a sense of community. 83 Dalston Lane is a pop-up event space, so the logo playfully enacts this by visualising the number 83 ‘popping up’. They knew they wanted a modern and elegant style with a connection to the venue and surrounding mountains. This symbol was a central feature across the wedding stationery – it was led by a Cistercian motif from the window of the abbey at Saint Jean D’Aulps where the ceremony was held. The brand launched with a flagship talc-free baby powder, positioned to rival market leader Johnson’s. The brief was to create an identity that would appeal to and build trust with mothers, reflecting the brand values of quality, integrity and transparency. The logo immediately tells mothers that they can trust Fresh & Dry for the needs of their child by transforming the ampersand symbol from the brand name into a baby.
